Each
summer, The Village Québécois d'Antan is filled with
flowers.
Beginning with plants and flowers that were available in ancient
seed catalogs, our horticulturalists have changed the Village into
a huge 19th Century flower layout showing over 7 000 flowers, healing
plants, native plants and fruits trees.
Among
others, you will see peonies, gladioli, cowslips, flax, plum and apple trees, all grouped accordingly to specific topics.
For example, healing herbs are all near the apothecary's house.
Moreover, each house is decorated with flowers reflecting the social
standing of its inhabitants.
The
Village experts are available to answer any question about the various
plants used by our ancestors.
Come
to the Village Québécois d'Antan and see how our great-great-grand-parents
planned their gardens and beautify their homes.
